Service Description
ExifEraser provides an online tool to remove EXIF metadata from images. Users can upload photos in JPG, PNG, and WebP formats, or ZIP archives containing multiple images. Metadata is stripped server-side, and cleaned files are available for immediate download.
Free Tier
- Free users may upload up to 1 photo per day
- Maximum single file size: 50 MB
- No account required for free usage
Premium Subscription
- Unlimited photo uploads
- Batch ZIP processing: up to 100 photos per archive, maximum 250 MB
- Maximum single file size: 50 MB
- Price: €1/month
Acceptable Use
You agree not to upload illegal content, malware, or files that violate any applicable law. We reserve the right to refuse service to any user.
Limitation of Liability
This service is provided "as is." We are not responsible for data loss, file corruption, or any damages arising from the use of this service. Always keep backups of your original files.
File Retention
Uploaded files are deleted immediately after processing. The cleaned output file is permanently deleted from our servers the moment your download completes. No files are retained on disk.
Legal Status — Technical Intermediary ("Mere Conduit")
ExifEraser operates as a technical service provider ("hébergeur" / "mere conduit") under French and EU law, including the LCEN (Law No. 2004-575) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We process user files solely to deliver the requested EXIF removal service.
No Storage: Uploaded files are processed in real-time. The input file is deleted immediately after processing. The cleaned output file is permanently deleted from our servers the moment your download completes. We do not read, store, index, share, sell, or retain any user content.
No Monitoring: We do not actively monitor, curate, or inspect the content of files you upload. As a technical intermediary, we have no general obligation to monitor the information we transmit or store.
User Responsibility: You retain full ownership and legal responsibility for the files you upload. You warrant that you have the right to process and download the content. We are not liable for user-uploaded content.
No Professional Advice: ExifEraser is a software utility. We do not provide legal, financial, tax, or professional advice of any kind.
Data Processing Location: All processing occurs on servers located within the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). Data does not leave the EU.
